Saving Contacts from Google Contacts to Mailtarget via Zapier

In this article, you will learn how to integrate your Mailtarget account with Google Contacts through Zapier. So, when you use Google Contacts, all response data you get will be integrated directly into your Mailtarget account. This integration functions for acquiring data from Google Contacts using Zapier as a third party.

Before you begin, ensure that your data includes Email, Firstname, Label. Next, follow these steps to integrate your Mailtarget account with Zapier to obtain data from Google Contacts:

Setting Up Integration

  1. Open your Zapier account, then click 'My Apps' and search for Mailtarget.co in the search bar.
  2. Next, you will be asked to fill in the API Token. Open your Mailtarget account, then go to the Integration menu. There you will see the API Token. Copy it and paste it into the field on the Zapier page. Then click 'Yes, Continue'.
  3. To ensure the integration is successful, click the 'Test' button. If a 'Success' notification appears, the integration of your Mailtarget account with Zapier has been successful.
  4. Go back to the 'My Apps' page on Zapier. Search for 'Google Contacts' in the search bar. You will be prompted to log in to your Google account. Perform a test to ensure your Google account is successfully logged in to Zapier.

Set Up Trigger

  1. Go to the Zap menu, then click the 'Create a Zap' button.
  2. Set the title of your zap.
  3. Here you will determine the first trigger. In search apps, select 'Google Contacts'.
  4. Then select your Google Contacts account.
  5. Then try testing the data by adding a new contact in Google Contacts, after filling it out, click Test Trigger.
  6. If data appears as shown below, it means the test data is successful. Click continue.

Determine Action

  1. Choose the app.
  2. Find and select Mailtarget.
  3. Then determine the action event.
  4. Select Save Contact. If you choose save contact, adding a new contact in Google Contacts will automatically save it to your Mailtarget contact book.
  • Then choose the Mailtarget account.
  • Customize Contact.
  • Determine which field contains the user's email, which field in your form will be saved as a label in the Mailtarget contact book. After filling in, continue.
  • A sample data to be sent to the Mailtarget contact will appear. Choose Test & Continue.
  • If you have completed all the steps, click Done Editing, or you can directly turn on your zap.
  • After turning on, everything will sync. To check, add a new contact in your Google Contacts, then check your contact book on Mailtarget.co.
